The goal with 147 gr was to load inexpensive, fun, reliable sub-sonic ammo for use in a 16” AR-9 and an 8.5” SBR.However with most pistol powders being next to impossible to get these days, I plan to use what I have found to create my next 9mm, minor PF (125-130) reloads. My plan is to use my cleaned field brass, CCI 500 primer, 147 grain Xtreme copper plated round nose bullets at 1.140 or 1.150 OAL using the Dillon 650XL.See GR Silver Mining Ltd. I've found that a 147gr bullet @ 985 fps (144 PF) is the flattest and most accurate with my setup. Blitzkrieg standard hydraulic buffer, 5.56 carbine spring and Blitzkrieg short stroke adapter. The bolt weight is inserted. The bullets hit the same spot at 50 yards as fast as I can pull the trigger.I use 3.2 grains red dot for 147 grain 9mm regardless of design but my overall goal is suppression (950-1000fps) not reliable expansion. Any 147 grain load data should be adequate. That being said I recently loaded 1,000 124 grain sig v crown as well, load data on that was 3.7 grains of red dot with no pressure signs whatsoever, felt more like ... ….

My problem now is that 4.2 grains of Universal with a 125 grain lead bullet is close to the listed maximum load of 4.3 grains and a .1 grain increase is unlikely to meet the PF requirements reliably in cold weather either. So on to my question: I have some Hornady 147gr. XTP bullets and Unique powder. None of the literature in the Lee reloading manual, or the info that came with my 9mm dies has a powder scoop listed for 147 gr bullets.
